The tree of life is a fundamental archetype in many myths or traditions all over the world. Especially it's the principal element in shamanic Turkic tradition. There is "celestial world", "the ground" and an "underworld" and the only connection/bridge between these realms is the "tree of life" that is in the center of the worlds.
